have the capacity of:<\/p><ul><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>suspect:<\/strong> person against whom there is (over whom there is) a reasonable suspicion that they have committed an act provided for by criminal law);<\/li><li><strong>defendant:<\/strong> person against whom criminal proceedings have been initiated on the basis of the evidence in the case file;<\/li><li><strong>injured party:<\/strong> person who has suffered harm as a result of the commission of the offense;<\/li><li><strong>civil party:<\/strong> person who brings a civil action in criminal proceedings with a view to obtaining compensation for the damage caused by the offense;<\/li><li><strong>civilly liable person<\/strong> person who, according to the law, has a legal or contractual obligation to repair the damage caused by the crime that is the subject of the case;<\/li><li><strong>witness:<\/strong> person suspected of being able to provide information about the commission of an act provided for by the criminal law;<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a4255f9 elementor-widget-divider--view-line to know that you have the right to be assisted by a lawyer throughout the proceedings. One of the biggest mistakes a person can make, part of a criminal case, is to postpone the employment of a lawyer.
